Your supplies: strung sequins, individual sequins, a thin needle and thread, glue that dries clear, and a toothpick.

1) Determine basic flower design with pencil or chalk. Outline design with strand of sequins by sewing or gluing them along the outline. Note: This will be a bit more challenging when sewing with single sequins. Fill in the petals as you please, with strands of sequins or embellishments with single sequins.

2) Technique note: when applying glue, use a toothpick. They're good for placing sequins right where you want. You might want to design larger areas with strung sequins and add color highlights with single sequins.

3) Sequins flowers can also be knitted and crocheted. The sequins are threaded and placed into the design one sequin at a time between each stitch by pulling it up in to the design before each knit or crochet stitch is taken.

4) If desired, use an adhesive spray to set the sequins.
